Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema announced that the “Pensioner Seva Mela” will help retired employees complete their mandatory e-KYC registration. Through this initiative, pensioners can register themselves on the newly launched Pensioner Seva Portal and access all digital services easily. The government’s goal is to make the pension process completely transparent, faster, and paperless for all beneficiaries across Punjab.
The Punjab government launched its one-stop digital platform for all pension-related services on November 3, 2025. This online system aims to bring every pensioner’s service under one roof. The portal — available at https://pensionersewa.punjab.gov.in — will initially provide six major facilities, including submitting digital life certificates, applying for family pension conversion, leave travel concession, lodging pension-related complaints, and updating personal details.
Minister Cheema explained that registration on the portal requires Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification. Pensioners can complete this process either through their smartphones, laptops, or at the nearest district treasury offices during the mela. Once registered, pensioners can use their login credentials to access all services from home. Those unable to use digital tools can visit service centers or banks handling pension distribution to get assistance.
The ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ mobile app is integrated with the portal, allowing pensioners to submit their digital life certificates online. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. By using this feature, pensioners will no longer need to visit offices physically every year to prove their “life certificate” status.
To address complaints quickly, the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts has set up a dedicated “War Room.” Pensioners can contact the department through three helpline numbers — 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386 — which will remain active from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days. This system will ensure real-time grievance handling and faster service delivery.
According to Finance Minister Cheema, the government’s mission is to make pension services more accessible, efficient, and transparent. The “Pensioner Seva Mela” is part of Punjab’s digital governance drive, ensuring senior citizens don’t face delays or red tape. The state hopes that with e-KYC and online tracking, pensioners will be empowered to manage their benefits independently and with dignity.
